| Jerome, why don't you tell the class something about yourself.
Well, my favorite radio station is 102.1. I like rap and hip hop music the best. I surf the web at My Space. |

Meet Victoria T. First of all, Victoria, what is your little sister's name beside you? Well, so nice of you to ask. Her formal name is Welcomenia. I just call her Welcome for short. I see you have been chosen student of the week in Dr. Denny's English class. Do you deserve this honor? Yes, I do. I'm special. What are your best subjects (please say English). "English." There, I said it. But my favorite subjects really are Science and art. What makes you happy? Music, rainfall, dancing practice. Have you travelled much? Why, yes I have. I have been to the Big Apple (New York) and the Big Orange (Florida). Have you ever wrestled a Florida alligator in the mud and made him say uncle? Yes. You are a woman of few words, I see. What do you like about LMS? I just love the bus ride to school. The sights, the smells, the adventure of sitting on those leather seats. It's so cool! Well, Victoria, what are your goals in life? I want to work in the O.R. or be an archaeologist or Egyptologist. If that doesn't work out then I would like to be a dancer on a cruise ship. Yippee! |

| Marina C. Well the first question we all want to know is what's with those stickers behind you? Oh, those are my reminders--I'm so forgetful. So during English class I write these notes to myself and when Dr. Denny is not looking I crawl across the floor and slap them on the wall. Okay. Well, I'll keep an eye out for that from now on. Now tell us what kind of music do you like? I like to listen to all types of pop and rock. And I like 94.9, the Point. And your favorite subjects? Gosh, I like them all, especially science, social studies, art, and English. I'm glad you started with English. I understand you are planning a trip overseas to study the dining habits of African tortoises. Is that really true or just a fable? No, actually I'm going to Europe. Do they have African tortoises? No. Well, tell me, Marina, what really makes you happy? I know this sounds quaint but I like helping people and I hope one day to be a physical therapist. That is such a noble quest. We all wish you the best in your dream. |
